I am doing a quilt now that i love the material. I have taken a large piece and am making a lap quilt. I am putting other material around it to make a frame for it. The rest i am going to do the same except make smaller versions of the big one. It seems as if fabric talks and wants to be done in a certain way. If that makes since to you

Now as soon as I get the piece washed and ironed, before I put it in my stash, I cut a piece of it. That takes some of the fear out of cutting it in the future.

Don't try to get over it, it will never happen! Use it as the center panel in a quilt or cut big squares or rectangles. Or just enjoy looking at it.
Ricky Timms said in a seminar I went to that we don't have fabric stashes, we have fabric collections because we have stuff that we will never ever part with. So true, so true.

I share a lot of that feeling.....but then I get so excited to see what it would look like in a quilt.....I take a deep breath and start cutting.....It is always a surprise to me how the finished product will be!!!!
