I love your sewing corner. Know what you mean about the kids coming home. Mine all did. And brought a dgd with them. Love it. Your kitty is a beauty.

Five kids, all have been back over and over, with spouses, children, pets etc. Guess I'm past being good natured about it.

I Love it....If it's not making room for kids it's grandkids or grandbabies.
It's amazing how "sewing corners" appear!

Mine have done that. My 32 year old has his own house at the beach 2 hours away. I still have him 3 nights a week as he travels with his work and I love it. Just moved my sewing out of his (now guest room) to his brother's (now sewing room-bigger) as brother is now married. And we have a place to stay at beach to boot!

Glad you still have a sewing corner. I have three empty bedrooms that are filled with the kids 'stuff'. Does it ever end?

You get the kids together and explain that at such and such a time you are purging the house of OPS (Other People's Stuff.) No time extension for any reason. It it's important enough to save it's important enough to take. We solved the move back problem by moving to a Senior Mobile Home Community. Guests under 45 could only stay for 45 days per year.

What a nice attitude and outlook you have.
It's hard downsizing, but just think when he's gone you can once more spread your wings.
It's hard with today's world. The kids can't wait to move out and be on their own and then they return to the nest. I know I had it done to me. We make do and still love them.
I love your little corner..It's all yours.
Enjoy...

I lost my sewing room to MIL, and she doesn't appreciate the sacrifice, however, husband has been a total gem. I love him enough to sew anywhere!
