It took me the longest time to figure out what was wrong.....so if one were not looking, it shouldn't be noticeable....love the quilt...GREAT job!!!

If it was mine I would put berries and leaves on top of each green stripe and the middle of each top square as in the first square.

Leave it alone, if you don't tell, no one will know.
It is beautiful.

Don't even try removing them.. They will come off with heat and work, but the appliques will never be the same and neither will the place where they were stuck. This is where we quilter's excel. I agree with the others, add more berries and leaves, who knows, by the time you get is so you like it, it may be a whole lot better than if you'd have done it the way the pattern says. More berries and leaves can't hurt a thing and I think they will look great!

I agree it looks just fine as it is! The suggestion to add more leaves/berries along that line would make you happy that they are over the green sashing. Add even more to balance it however you need to! I think you will be sorry if you try to take the other one off. I've never tried to removed fused fabric but I can't imagine it would look good. The fabric under it will have some adhesive on it, no matter what, and not look the same. Be inventive and turn it into your own quilt! No one knows but you!!

I agree with your "solution" but if you left it alone, it would just look like that holly bunch was mischievous and wanted to go play somewhere else!

I agree, it looks fine. I seem to always end up with one "humble block" on each of my quilts. (My mistake area)!!

I do a lot of fusible applique and yes, just put the iron on the leaf and hold for a few seconds and it will just peel right off. The piece you have done is lovely and would just add a few more holly's and no one will know the difference.
