Now that I'm thinking about it...Judy..I have a question. I'm just finishing up my center for Group 1...its 24 1/2" square, but it is meant to be set on point. I thought, well, I can turn it and go ahead and put corners on it so it will be a square...but measureing across, it is 33 1/2" from corner to corner.
So...I think I saw that there are a few others that are supposed to be on point also, my question is...how will this type of center get on track for all the rounds? Do I just send it out "as is", or do I need to add something, or do I have to do it over smaller so I can add corners and have it be the 24 1/2"?
I hope ya'll understand my question, I may not have explained it very well.

Patti, I noticed that about your block and have already contacted the next two in the round. I think we can come up with a solution for yours, so just sent it along to the next one without any further changes....
I dont know of any others... If there are some, let me know and Ill check them out as well.
Anyone who hasnt made theirs yet, I would caution against this option.

One thought that came to me, would be that the first couple of boarders are small and they could be made to follow along with the block exactly on point, and then later when it gets further around into the bigger borders it could be squared in then.

The next person in line for hers COULD put the corner squares on it for her. It would make it 33 inches instead of 30, but I don't think anyone is going to mind if Patti's quilt top turns out to be 3 inches bigger than someone elses. I know I don't mind, only because I"m keeping it when it gets to me! hehehehehe

Thanks Judy....I'll keep that in mind for my center for Group 4..It won't have that problem. Sorry to have created a problem, I just didn't think that far ahead
Thanks Elizabeth, I'm not sure what Judy told the others, but thats a good option. I guess I'll be pleasantly surprized!
Terri....you are just soooo helpful...you know I can't sleep at night as I'm worried about you keeping my quilt!!!

Hi just popped in for a look and notice that there is an "on point" question going. When I posted mine I did say it was on point. I have just looked at it and it is fine just as a square, so nobody worry about mine.
I should get my part for my sewing machine tomorrow and hopefully all will be well, meanwhile I am using my other machine (glad I held on to it), so there are no problems with anyones quilts.
Havenīt seen Group 2 or 3 post yet are they posting somewhere else?
We have loads of time I am not pushing just wondering.

I'm in group 3 and I am waiting for all of you to show your blocks so I can just copy yours and save me the time of designing my own. LOL.
I have been thinking about it. I think it will be paper pieced. I've decided on the pattern but not the fabric yet.
I am really enjoying watching all of yours come together.

I'm in Group 2, and have cut out my pieces, but am throwing together a simple charity quilt before I tackle this. It will be my first paper-piecing project, so I need to be sharp when I jump into it! Luckily I have enough time (if I get busy) to come up with an alternative if I screw this up.
