The Joann's near me has good management, too. When they had the cutting tools on sale for 50% off, they seemed to be unclear on whether the rulers were included in that sale--so the manager said "yes, they are" and they applied it at the register. She kind of went off on a rant about it, actually--"I don't know why the rulers wouldn't be on sale! The cutters and mats are, and you can't use them without the rulers! It's just ridiculous, some rang up on sale and some didn't!" They also have friendly, chatty employees who are quick to ask about your project. I love shopping there. :)

Glad this turned out well for you. I like the way you handled it, quietly and with no fuss.

The JoAnns by my place is very friendly as well. I was there last weekend and had a coupon in my mailer plus the newspaper insert and the gal at the register had me save my mailer and used the insert.

I'm really lucky, the manager at the big Joanns near me is a gal I worked with over 30 years ago when she was 20 and I was 30. She's very good with people and very smart and when it's very busy and she's on shift, everything runs smoothly.
