I looked it up on the JoAnn website. Under "Description" on the bottom line it does say Made in US. If I knew the name of the company I would look up the company.

the few pieces I saw at the Evansville store were not at all designs I'd use.

At our JoAnn's they'll offer the last few inches at remenant price ie. 50% of regular price. Even if it's just 3 inches.

The one here supposedly did that too (it's closed now) but I always had to fight for that 50% off. Every single time it would ring up full price and they would argue with me about it being 50% off. So after that if there was an inch left, I would tell them to cut it off. I didn't want it.

This fabric is on sale this week, for President's day - I think it's $6.49/yd, give or take a few cents. I used my military ID to get a 20% discount, so picked up a few yards today to try it out - that's 20% more off of the sale price, so less than $5.50/yd, so well worth buying a few yards. I bought a polka dot, a paisley and a floral.

To clear up the "made in America" confusion, I wrote Joann Customer Service and this is their reply:

Thank you for contacting Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores Customer Service.
All of our Made in America fabrics are 100% made in the United States. We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused you.
You may contact Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores Customer Service via phone at 1-888-739-4120, Monday through Saturday, 9 am - 7 pm Eastern Time.
Thank you,
Megan
Customer Service Coordinator
Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores

Wonderful and even better when combined with the detailed info posted above telling exactly where the fabric is manufactured!
