I will start with pal's idea for a few laughs....Who had a birthday in 1987?...... We all did (of course)
I like zozee's idea to cut scraps in half and place each half in separate hats...one guild hat and the other the prize hat. Members pick a scrap as they come in. A scrap is drawn from the prize hat. The winner is the person with the matching scrap. QuiltE's idea to use candy or charm squares is great also. I chose this because it is a fast way to give the prize away.
Thanks everyone for your tips and ideas. I will not tape fabric to a chair bottom so as not to leave anyone out who may be challenged in looking for the fabric or the tape may remain and leave a sticky area on the church seat we use.
As for all the other wonderful ideas, I thank you Sew Much! I will pass them along to our guild board.
