I like all the choices except the yellow....tell your daughter that she did a wonderful job!!! Post picts when finished...Good luck!!

I agree that I like it without the sashing, but if she wants sashing, the black interferes least with the design, and I think that is what you want with this. What a great gift you are giving her, to sew with your daughter. Lucky girl!

I like the red sashing or no sashing at all. Kudos to her for a beautiful, well made project!!! Please post a pic when she decides what to do.

I was drawn to the blue sashing & inner border but a wider black border would work for me. Thanks for sharing.
