Obsession
#82
Our "obsession" is not as much a problem as it is a gift. As I see it, the creative process keeps my mind active; the obsession keeps me out of trouble -- no time for gossiping on the phone or over the back fence; a legitimate "reason" for not getting to the house cleaning. And I'm sure many other reasons.

I am sorry to report that this obsession is permanent and there is no professional help that will work. the best therapy I can recommend is to go out there and get those patterns and fabrics and notions and LOVE every second of it!!! And remember... these disease you have... you are not alone... just ask anyone of us here on this board!!!

Sorry, I haven't found a cure for it yet. Of course, I'm not looking for one. What I've found that helps the "itch" is to find a new pattern you can't wait to try or some fabric that is calling your name as you walk by "Take me home, take me home".
