Hi all,

I really enjoy the feel of cloth. My LQS is my place of calm. However, I was browsing through ebay and the prices seem really good. Interesting cloth selection. Have you ever ordered material from ebay? Was it good quality? Were you happy with the process?

As usual, I remain

I often buy off ebay. I have found excellent fabric from the sellers. Read the descriptions and check the feedback carefully. I usually buy fabric that I am familiar with.

I have been happy with what I bought. Price was good too. But, Anything I buy on e-bay I expect it to not be what I expected so I don't get upset. It's like buying a surprise package. There are some board members that have e-bay stores that they like. Maybe they will respond with those links.

I've ordered from eBay. To me, nothing feels better than good quality fabric from a fabric store. I buy fabric from Joann's and from Walmart. I use it and it works fine. But, it doesn't compare to fabric store fabric. Of course, the Joann's and Walmart fabric doesn't cost $9.00 a yard, either. So, I guess you get what you pay for.

I have almost always been happy with my purchases on Ebay. I do, however, look at the feedback for the seller and read descriptions very carefully. I also look the the manufactuer's name or ask if it isn't shown in the description. I only recall once that I was very unhappy. The fabric was cute and I really didn't care about the manufacturer in that instance. When I received the fabric it had a definite odor--like it had been dipped in scented Febrize or something. I really can't handle perfumes at all. Thought I could wash it out but couldn't. Ended up throwing it away. If it is an estate sale item ask about odors! Also, pay with PayPal. You will get your money back if the item doesn't arrive. Hope this helps!

I have always been pleased with my eBay purchases. Quick delivery, no damage, exactly as described, quality. But I agree with kittenquilts - make sure you read the feedback for the seller.

I've bought from ebay sellers quite a bit. The fabric I got was wonderful and arrived quickly. I do have a couple of favorite sellers but there are so many to choose from. I usually put what I'm looking for in the search area and then arrange the listings by price to get a good buy.

I have been happy with fabric purchases, but I won't buy cut squares that are not name brands because some of the fabrics are paper thin.

I agree. Look at the seller's feedback. I have bought some beautiful fabric from eBay too.

I have always been happy with my EBAY purchases and I have bought quite a bit. Usually the top sellers are considered the best. I always check the feedback on the seller first and read desciptions carefully. I don't buy from sellers who do not combine shipping. I always figure the total amount I will pay (including shipping) to decide whether it is too much to buy on line or shop locally.
