I have a floor model and a desk lamp model. I bought both of them at Lowe's at a much reduced regualar price. If the store doesn't have them order on line and have delivered to store (No shipping). I got both of them in about 4 days. I am not as pleased with the desk style to travel so I probably will order the fold up one next. I take the floor model with me on retreats it fits in the tool box on my truck.

I have two, one sits on top of my sewing table for when I use very dark colors and another that sits on the floor that I can move for when I do hand embroidery or near my sewing machine and ironing board. Love, love it. Bought mine when they were on sale, got the floor model at half price at Joann's

I have an inexpensive IKEA goose neck floor lamp and I use the Verilux true spectrum bulbs. Inexpensive but very effective. Bought the bulbs online over a year ago and still on the first one.

I have two of them. One has a magnifying glass attached. I use them very seldom.

We have several at our house & love them! They don't put out the heat like regular lights do, so in hot weather, that's great. It's a softer, more natural, light too, so easier on the eyes! I have a base one, that will sit on a table, or any flat surface, & it folds shut for easy traveling, if you want to take it with you. I also bought a clamp on one, to use on my machine quilting frame. Hubby uses them in his studio too. He saw how great mine were, so he wanted some too. Best place to buy, Joann's online, they run them on sale, 50% off, alot, so sign up for their emails if you haven't yet, & save some bucks!

I believe it is a must as I age as well. I wasn't enjoying my hand work for a while - really didn't know why. I bought an Ottlite, and really was able to SEE     AGAIN  .
Yes, for me it is a MUST :!: :!: :!:
