Couldn't wait - here's the first block.

I like that colour combination, and the fabric pattern too.

Thanks, Charley. I like it more than I thought I would. In the selvage of the coral it says "Victoria & Albert Museum" which, I guess, means it's a reproduction fabric.

What about an eye-spy quilt? Baby will grow into it and there does not have to be anything gender specific.

I agree with you Manalto. Here is one I just finished. I showed a close up picture too because the whole quilt doesn't show the colors as well. I think it is a great color combo for neutral, but I wonder about the flowers. But - little boys can like flowers too. Right?

I think that's a great block, I like the colors very much and a good classic pattern, you can't go wrong :)

i just finished my B&W and red quilt. came out beautifully. the colors are stunning together
