Good Morning Ladies! Thanks craftybear for organizing our links http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-merv/rose.gif I have added zjsquiltymomma, smtp5, and beckyw.

Has everyone "shopped" their stashes? I think I am going to be spending my weekend getting organized. Well, part of it anyway since I will be working and then sleeping a good part of Saturday away. I am also going to try and work on some of the UFOs that have been hanging out. We will see how that goes. So many quilts, so little time! :?

quilter rkc 06-10-2010 06:33 AM

I wish I was going to be home for the summer. It sounds like ya'll are going to have so much fun 9 patching. I will be watching and enjoying from afar. Maybe if I am not gone too long I can catch up at the end.

Swan Song 06-10-2010 06:45 AM

The place is not exciting but the people are... I will be able to see my 3 grandchildren and take care of my mom for a while to give my sister a break. My mother lives alone but does not drive or really walk very well. So my sister helps her out alot.
Good news is my daughter said her sewing machine is just gathering dust.. She has three children 4 and under.. so...
I will be able to do some sewing while away.
Count me in for the grand finale .. Hooray!

Swan Song 06-10-2010 09:50 AM

Im in for this great deal. I usually use these type of blocks for my starters and stoppers on others quilts. Since I have 3 quilts going now I need more starter blocks. Now I will have 4 quilts finished in no time.

I have added everyone on page 10 of the thread. Welcome to everyone! :-) I am now off to bed. I will check when I get up to see if I need to add anyone else. Have a great day! :-)

Swan Song 06-11-2010 04:46 AM

Oh karley all you need to do is watch this thread I will remind everyone when the 15th rolls around. Everyone remember this is a group activity not a swap. The blocks you make will be used by you. Now I am really off to get some sleep, it's been a long night.

thank you for all this time consuming work

sewcrafty 06-11-2010 07:26 AM

I have a question. Does this have to be a scrappy or can we make what we want?

I think that as long as it is a nine patch, you can do whatever you like! Most people seem to be doing scrappy styles to use up their stash. I don't have a stash so I had to buy some fabric.

The main idea seems to be have fun and encourage each other :P

QUILTNMO 06-11-2010 08:33 AM

count me in have tons of 2.5 inch strips

craftybear 06-11-2010 10:11 AM

Jeanniejo 06-11-2010 10:15 AM

Sounds very doable and the fabric king knows I have a LOT of stash, time to start using something I already have . I'm in.

theresse 06-11-2010 10:21 AM

I Want in on this, It sounds like fun. Theresse

Swan Song 06-11-2010 02:43 PM

I just got up with the worst cold and fever. So I will not be going to work tonight. Upper respiratory infections and premature babies don't mix. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-fc/no.gif I thought I was a little more tired than normal this morning.

To answer some questions I have been getting. Since you will be using the blocks yourself you can turn them into whatever you want. Make it scrappy or make it more controlled. The idea was to use your stash. I know we have some newer quilters joining us who don't have extensive stashes and since they are buying fabric they may want to plan their blocks for their final project. Hope that answers that for everyone. This is a "Burger King" project-Make it your way. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/s...merv/dance.gif

I have added the people from page 11. Please everyone go to the project page and make sure your name is there. I don't want to miss anyone. Here is the link again-
http://www.quiltingboard.com/group_activity.jsp?gracnum=59

Now I am going to go see if I can find the tylenol and some chicken soup. I will be back.

QUILTNMO 06-11-2010 02:45 PM

swan hope you feel better soon nothing worse than a summer cold take cre

Pam 06-11-2010 03:07 PM

Swan Song, take care of yourself, and thanks for putting this together. I think it is going to be a lot of fun to see what emerges from this challenge.

cag1949 06-11-2010 04:06 PM

I'm in, maybe this will get me started instead of just saying I'm going to start quilting!!!

Swan Song 06-11-2010 04:17 PM
