It's the scientific word for the liquid in your mouth.. spit.
I've always used it for threading my needles. My Mama taught me to do it this way!

I spent the first half of my life thinking that I should already know things & wouldn't ask anyone about anything. I've decided that if I don't know something (no matter how common the knowledge is, if I don't know I don't know) I won't find out if I don't ask. So I'll ask & I'll answer if I know. So ask!!

Nope, not laughing. English is not my native language and I made many mistakes when I first came to the USA. I never understood why people did not explain to me when I made a mistake.

I learned the other day that I should also put a little spit on the eye of the needle and it would make the thread go through easier.
