Oh, scrappy with Oriental fabrics is a great idea! I love all Asian fabrics and have a bunch but hate to cut them, especially the really large print ones...they probably should be used for a larger design quilt.

Hmmm, you got me thinking now.

Most of the fabric I buy is oriental fabrics from Kona Bay. I have a
humongus stash of them and a lot of the quilted pieces I do are in
the oriental fabrics. I agree they are so pretty it seems like a shame
to cut them - probably why my stash is so big. I found a little purse
pattern made from a large kerchief sized piece of fabric and I'm going
to use some of the orientals for that. I think that would be really
neat and I won't feel like I'm chopping up the print.
