I like the first one as well. But I think I'd keep the maroon cornerstones instead of switching to the green. Pulls some of the colors in your blocks I think.

both choices are great- but, since it is a quilt made with fall fabrics I would go with the second choice- it stays more with the fall theme- the lighter green sashing would be wonderful to lighten up your scrappy- if you perhaps used spring/summery fabrics. isn't it amazing how easy it is to get different looks with just a strip of sashing? I love your scrappy! now make a new one with other fabrics besides fall- to use those light green sashing strips.

I like it both ways! Whichever one you like best will be beautiful.

I do agree that if you are going for emphasizing the fall theme, the darker sashing would accomplish that better.

what would happen if you didn't have sashing? Or if the sashing was narrower. Just throwing in some other thing to think about.
