When I first looked at your quilts, I liked the green sashing better, especially with the maroon cornerstones. Then I looked at your second quilt and liked it too. I know that's not much help, but the second sashing seems to give the quilt some richness to the blocks. They are both beautiful, but the second sashing seems to work better. Hope this helps and doesn't cloud the issue further.
