I really like what you have done in the second photo.

Lisa, I have to agree with you. I think a contrasting sashing would show off the blocks more unless she wants a more subdued look.

I agree with DebbE i think the blocks are just lovely and need to be the focal point, using a sashing like the background fab. would really make your blocks the main focus. A diff. colored sashing may take away from the blocks. Just my opinion.

I would try something with more contrast like the reds or the brown. Would give it more depth. The lighter colors blend as if there's no variation. it's a great quilt with great colors. I would just go a little bolder and deeper/brighter. Anxious to see when it's finished.

I agree that the blocks need to stand out but that fabric as sashing doesn't do anything for me.

I agree with the majority, the blocks are spectacular and I think a colored sashing would take away from the beauty of your blocks. I love the star cornerstones, but I think a dark star would be better, really set off the blocks.

I agree with DebbE and Joellyn, using the background fabric for the sashing, if you really like the stars as corner stones, stay with the yellow, so as not to take away from the beautiful blocks. bc

I like the overa soft look to the quilt with the green and cream, but maybe given the punchy colors in the blocks themselves it would be better to do a more contrasty sash.

I LOVE!!!! the stars in the sash. Oh, someday I will do that. Maybe when I can make star blacks that all are the same size and shape and have nice pointsLOL!

And design wall is never UFO, hahaha UFO is in the bottom drawer under other fabric
