I wished I had a machine on my cruise. I had a mini steam iron confiscated from me the minute I boarded, got a claim check and had it returned when we disembarked. We had a tiny desk surface that would have only accommodated a small featherweight. We had a tiny short plastic side table next to a chair that wouldn't have worked. Call the cruise line and ask for suggestions. The ships are huge, you can find a peaceful spot. Have fun!

The last cruise we did was to the Panama and on sea days the cruise line posted in the little daily newspaper where the craft/knitting/quilting group were to meet. Anyone who wanted to just brought their work and we sat and chatted and made friends and got lots done. People walking through that area were always interested in what we were doing. But no one had any machines with them.
Maybe you would like the quiet time in your room with your machine, and if you have help getting it there, go for it.
