Sewing machine Help please!
#64
My Pfaff did very same thing yesterday, I finally just tromped on the foot pedal a couple of times and it started sewing. Might be a short in pedal. Good luck! Costco is pretty good about returning things even after a year.

I still have the instruction book there are NO troubleshotting tips. I took it appart and cleaned it out but it was empty. I am so confused any ideas anyone please.
I have so many swaps to get done soon, I really need my machine to be able too. :(
PLEASE I am begging/Crying out loud for HELP! Thanks!

If toggle, like most, no help there.
Maybe if you hold the stop start button and count to about ten slowly, it will reset the motherboard memory.
On my non-Singer: I turn the machine off, hold the stop/start and another button down WHILE turning on the power switch/button.
Have you tried something like that yet?
The fact that the needle goes up and down by hand-turn means most of the gears/belts are ok.
Humm
Aardie.
Seriously though, make sure you have the proof of purchase, it you don't then you need to send a copy of serial number, receipt to Singer repair service center (through the 800 number)-hopefully they get the name, address, and everything correct. Take it to (or may have to send to repair center with a copy of your proof of purchase letter-which you need to get from singer).
Good luck, I know exactly what you mean, devastated. Even though I have others to use, I missed my Singer 7469Q so bad while it's been gone.

Can you google Sewing machine troubleshooting? There is a website where this really nice man answers questions, if he can't answer you from there, he asks you to call him so he can walk you through the fix. Just a nice man trying to help, but I can't remember the link. I found it on BING.com

Is it still under guarantee. Maybe you can return it and get them to check it out free. It is worth asking you dealer any way. Maybe the dealer knows a bit about the machine and will look at it for you. I don't have a Singer so that is all I can do for you. Sorry.
