One of my aunts gave me this pattern, she called it the monkey wrench pattern. It is wonderful for scrapies.

I have a T shirt with the words "Don't drink and quilt." It has a picture of the block you've shown with one HST going the wrong way. I don't drink, but oh can I mess up a block.

The timing of this post is perfect. I had the chance to spend the day in my Pj's and robe yesterday, while working on a tied quilt on my frame. I was industriously stitching and tying away when the phone rang. (Stupid me left it in the bedroom.) I got up to go get it, and found that the last three knots I had tied, were very securely stitched to my robe! Needless to say, I did not take pictures.

Hahahaha! I laughed outloud at this one - it looks just like something I would do. (the pic of the zipper all stitched in and the pull nowhere within the enclosure.)

I made a disappearing 9 patch... after it was quilted I found two of the rectangles were back to front... while sewing it I found two then, so changed them around but didn't use my head and realise that there would be two more as the finished blocks are cut in half both ways... so of course there would have been four... such a shame but it could have been worse... they were near one end... imagine if they had been in the middle !!!
