there are a lot of people in this world that have nothing nice to say to any one they seem to have to put you down to feel good about them selves i had the same thing happen to me when sending off a quilt to a friend i saw her later that year at the fair looking at the quilts i over heard her say top her friend i wish i could make such butifull quilts but i just don't have the talent so maby this person is just plain jealous of your talent

Comments like this are what make me drive to a post office further away when I have to mail packages. After a few encounters with a mean-spirited postal worker, I just can't take the chance she's working when I go. There is enough meanness in this world...

another option would be to ask to speak to the post master general or the head of that post office there is also a listing in the us goverment pages for the number of the mast post men another option is to email the post master general i google to find the web site and lodge a formal complaint

Oh I love to confront mean old biddies when they seem to be happy only when making someone have a miserable day like they have. I just ask why are you so negative today? I don't appreciate it at all. This really gets their goat: Let's turn that frown upside down and make a smile! I love to see them puff up about to explode. It's more effective when there are others in line.

Sounds like nothing you would have said could have been understood by such a rude person.
