I think that pieces on the last one are a bit to different in size, you would want one of the pieces or so per block and I think that they will all end up looking to similar, a bigger a print the better,

Ok I have been watching t his topic and I am SO confused at how to even pick a fabric :? How big should the print be? and I am still wondering how to find the repeats, would the shop people know how to help with this??
I was looking at all the new fabrics that have been put on clearance and was trying to choose from there but I need to be sure about how much to get. I would want it for my queen size bed.
Thanx for any help since you have already answered this stuff before

A very easy way to be sure it is a repeat by the writing on the salvage. If you count them you can't go wrong. Especially if you want to do a big one. And I would be safe and get 12 of them like that. They usually are not a yard each one. You are looking for a larger print with little to no background. The shop should be able to help especially with the repeat issue. Though some places don't have the quality of staff they should have.
