It says "Multi quote this message" when you hover over it. The only thing I can think of is that you can click several messages and have them all quoted within one response posting or if you click it you can quote it in multiple messages. Will have to try it out.

Ok, I tried it out. If you click that symbol on 2 messages and then click on the "Reply with Quote" both messages will be quoted within your reply post.

Just want to add my thanks for doing this board. I so look forward to reading this each day. Hang in there, we will get used to it and hopefully the ones having trouble will work it out. Thanks again for this board.

Patrice, Just want to say Thank You. I was ready to give up couldn't remember password, so that meant I couldn't get hooked up here. The owners have PEOPLE doing for them above and beyond that sure can help. I liked the old way, but I'll get use to it. This Oldie will get the hang. LOL Thank you again for all the help.

Where there is no change, there is no growth. The new board is great and I thank you!

It is a simple fact that typically we, humans, do not like change. We are creatures of habit and find comfort in what we know and find familiar. There are, however, many measures that we (as IT professionals) can take to ensure our users will not experience such a shock to a new way of doing things. By not preparing the users..... you will, inevitably, receive much negative feedback. Who can blame them?
You are 100% on target. That was my comment on the first day. Way too much, way too fast, but I must say that, in response, the developers seem to be addressing issues as fast as possible. This board is a source of comraderie and support for a huge number of people. You can't rip the rug out from under their feet and expect full support. I suppose that the people they lose will be replaced with new people who won't remember the first board. It's just a shame to see anyone become so frustrated that they take their knowledge away with them. I appreciate all the information that these wise quilters may offer.

Thanks for all you do Patrice. As it has been said change is difficult, but we can work with it. I am plugging my way through and getting used to the new board. Like the format and I think it is very readable. Keep up your good work and your patience with us.

IT people - question for you -

Would it have been possible to phase out the old platform and phase in the new one ?

Change is always difficult, especially for me. perhaps it would have been easier if there was a "user group" involved with the beta, folks like us. The white background does bother my eyes. It is a priority for them to change to a less glaring color. I am getting more proficient travelling around in here. In a previous life I was an IT Project Manager, changing the way an entire corporate sales force operated. Wow, I remember the angst. Patrice, you are doing a good job,
