I was in bed before 10 last night so I am raring to go. I need eight penquins for a bed/table runner and I want to get one more done today (pattern by Elizabeth Hartman).

Those penguins are just precious!

I have twenty batik blocks that I've just started to put together with some beige sashing. I also need to do some cleaning in the sewing room. Stuff gets piled up in there during Christmas.

I’ve been working on my splendid sampler 2 blocks today. With Christmas projects I have slipped quite a way behind! I’ve managed to make 3 blocks completely and cut/fuse another applique block which I will stitch down tomorrow.

Im going to spend this evening looking for new pattern ideas

I love seeing how ambitious everyone is today. I did get to sew a little yesterday-working on a heart pattern I am kinda redoing to suit the size I want. I had seen a heart pattern on this board (it was made with red, white and blue fabrics) and I can't find it. Does anyone remember seeing this block? It may have been on one of the block swaps on this board. If anyone can find it-I would really appreciate you sending me a pm or just letting me know thru this thread.
Trisher-your penquins are adorable.

Wow, lots of ambitious people this morning! I was hoping to sandwich a quilt, but no batting and no shops open today. I hand quilted on a baby quilt last night until 10:30 so didn't quite make it to midnight! Our first time not attending a friend's party, does that mean we are getting old? haha... I was happy to stay home and dog sit! I may try to put a simple border on the latest BOM I did with sewincrediblycrazy blog, hopefully I will find something in my stash that will complement it. Look forward to hearing and seeing what everyone is up to. Happy New Year everyone, may 2019 be a kinder, healthier year for us all!

Thought I'd take a break from ironing to see what everyone is doing. I'm working on the scalloped border for the Hearts and Apron Strings quilt. I finished the T squares border and added it to the top, I just need to take a picture.

Fun to see lots of us joining in, and having some stitching time. I'm planning to work on the Bonnie Hunter's Mystery quilt, am a bit behind. The studio also needs some attention.

I'm getting a late start today. I stayed up past midnight. With all the fireworks, it's pretty hard to sleep earlier anyway. Then one of my dogs yelped getting on the bed and I was worried about his back so kept checking on him. Anyway, I plan to get upstairs and put the rows of my latest quilt together so the top is finished. I need to get some backing so I will put this one away until I get to the LQS

I love the pics of what everyone is doing so far!

Happy New Year! Well, I'm not getting much done today. I have a head cold and between the cold and the medicine I took to help with the cold, I can't concentrate! Last night while cutting the pieces for my border, I sliced the tip off of my index finger because I glanced away at the wrong second. Hurts just a bit! So instead of quilting, I think I'm going to sort through my English Paper Piecing tub and see what's in there. I'm impressed by what all of you are getting done
