Virtual quilting weekend 8/14-8/16/20
#71
I got a lot done on the Frolic UFO yesterday, and my Round Robin project was delivered in the afternoon.
I've been having some knee problems and worked myself a bit too hard yesterday, feeling it last night and today. But, it's my left leg and not my sewing/gas pedal foot so it doesn't slow down the sewing, just the gimping around.
It was really hard not to rip open the RR package yesterday, but today I'm going to finish putting together the block baggies for the Frolic UFO and clean up a bit first.

RobR that is a truly amazing butterfly - I am in awe!
I finished the borders on my Paddington quilt!!! I'm so excited! I was expecting it to take a lot longer than it did - turns out the once I got started it went surprisingly smoothly
I am so pleased to have finished the flimsy for this one. With it being hexagons I found it tricky when I first started (8 years ago, lol) and it got put to one side. So it would appear that my skills have improved over the years
Thank you for hosting Raggiemom, and I look forward to joining in the next VQW - I don't have a quilting group, so I really enjoy seeing what everyone else is working on - fantastic work is being done here.

Is there a pattern name or video available to watch on this mask? It looks like it would be great to make for the elementary school here. I have been making different styles of masks but this one with a bead seems it might be something kids could relate to.

Just wanted to thank Raggiemom for starting the thread and everyone who participates. I was a happy solo quilter for years and then I found the joys of working with and being around people who understood what I was doing, I'm lucky to have a weekly small group (even if we didn't meet for a couple of months during covid), but I really enjoy these virtual weekends.
In some ways, it's not really a motivator -- it's just a lot more fun when I can take breaks and see what the other people have been doing, and that's the motivation. Quilt pox can still be spread virtually

Thanks Raggiemom, for hosting another great weekend of quilting and sewing. Sorry this one got passed me but some how I was focus on the Labor Day date and totally forgot about this one. I was having some health issue this weekend anyway. The main thing is that I've noted my phone and laptop calendar and I'll be all set for it.
Good work to all that join the weekend and some gorgeous projects resulted from it, see you in a couple weeks and stay safe everyone
