Her Free Patterns are fabulous.
Most are "scrappy" and have full
instructions and photos.

What do your Amish friends do with them? Don't they pretty much use only certain fabrics?

After I have exhausted all the scrap quilt patterns I want to make, I trade scraps with my local quilt shop, she sells them by the bag and I get credit for new fabric so it works out well. Moosegirl

I try and use all my scraps in a quilt so basically I have a fabric history of what was in my stash at one time or another. When I use the quilt I'm surrounded by good memories of the quilts I made from them!

I save almost everything because I love scrappy quilts and applique so almost any size is usable. For the last couple of weeks I have been making a small project almost every day here are some of them. The log cabin blocks are coming straight out of the trash can by my Juki.

(I don't like 5 1/2 blocks I like even nujmbeers). I love scrappy quilts so this works fine for me. Great to cut down on number of blocks and use 2 1/2 etc blocks instead of sashing. Puts a lot of color in a quilt.
I am so impressed. Great idea---Maybe, it will motivate me to do the same.

Is it just me or do you love your scraps as much as your stash?!
Yes I do! I have so much *left overs* I just have to find the time to get to them.
