Spray bottle is the only way IMO. I have NEVER had luck with any water in any iron.

I also use distilled water in my iron as tap water builds up calcium and plugs my iron and after time it spits out chunks of the calcium. It has stained a dark spots on my fabric.

I have a spray bottle of water on my ironing board and that is all I use. Does anyone have a shark? I have had this one since the spring and like it.
