Seems to me this is a lot more than quilting!! That would make a difference if you are doing the photo copying including the message under the photo. Why don't you take the quilt to a local quilt store and see if they will advise you. If one friend wanted one I would just do it but 3! You would be $$ in the hole! I would not think less than $300-$350. I willl be interested in what you decide so please post! And Good Luck. That wall hanging is a marvelous masterpiece and keepsake. I commend you!

I would think at LEAST $600. and not sure I would do one for that amount---most likely $1000 is more realistic. you need to inform them of the time involved---I just finished a reversible wall hanging for my daughter that is hand quilted that has taken WAY over 400 hours......

Usually friends don't really know how much time and materials you put in things like that and want it for little or nothing. It usually makes enemies out of friends. It's like loaning money. I don't do it. It's just my opinion. If I don't care enough about them to do it for free I don't do it.

Don't sell yourself short. Remember, it's going to be family heirloom. Priceless. ;-)
And I would love to see a pic of your quilt straight on - you don't get the full effect when it's laying on the bed. I think it's fabulous.

Well I had a lot of thoughts to share. Hopefully the thoughts flow smoothly from one to another without repeating. I think I will stop now.

Your quilt is wonderful. I am the last one left of 5 kids and came along late. Sure wish someone had done this for me so I would have my heritage at hand. You did a wonderful job. Remember, when you do it out of love there is no task too hard. When you have no direct interest in it, time can be painful.
