No sneaking here. DH is good about things like that and besides he's usually not at home when I go shopping and never sees what's coming in the house.

Only sometimes I wish that he were here to help out with carrying in the groceries.

No sneaking at my house. My husband is always with me and
most of my fabric I buy at the thrift store or when it is on sale. He
thinks I need to buy if I like it.

I don't have to worry about it, no one but me to be accountable to.

I use to leave it in the truck behind the seat until after he went to sleep I've done the coat sleeve and I always carried a BIG purse on serious shopping days depending on the spool count I could smuggle 8-10yds in that old purse The funny thing - He asked for a quilt for the couch out of the last sneaky fabric The jig was up it had been the family joke for years before he asked for his quilt And he called me sneaky

I relate to this...mine retired 3 weeks ago...has no car, since he always had a company car, for 40 years. Now need to shop selectively....just did today and brought it in while he was in backyard with workers...WHEW!!

He doesn't hide his tools, I don't hide my fabric.

I'm not married, but my daughter lives with me and she is 19 years old. She always has something to say. So, I wait until she goes to sleep at night, usually around 11:30. Then,I bring what I bought inside and put with my stash. I guess it doesn't really matter, she sees it eventually, but only comments when she sees me with a bag of fabric. LOL Its the comments that gets on your nerves.
Some people just don't understand the art of quilting.

I would never be that devious. However, on the rare occasion that I have forgotten a bag of fabric in the car, I will go out after dark and bring it in. I wouldn't want anyone to steal it, you know.

Same thing I do! And it works! Altho I don't really buy that much. I pretty much buy for the next project only but sometimes I see a really good sale and then splurge.
