Beautiful quilt and colors! Love it! I would make a square 50" by 50" quilt if I had to do it. Yes, they can drag around larger quilts, but a square is easier, and I tell you that from experience. And think as well - at 50" long, that quilt can cover that child for many years, and by then, he'll have worn it out and it will be time for a new one.
