I was thinking warm wishes too. Very cute fabric, I know what you mean about not being able to resist when it's marked way down! The clearance table is the 1st place I go to!

i'm thinking maybe a dnp with solid in the middle squares?

What about keeping the design by using big squares of the print and then making "warm wishes" blocks to frame each. Use black and white for the "outsideI framing strips and maybe reintroduce the green as the middle framing strip.

I sure wouldn't want to lose the the houses and witches.

I like the D9P idea but I would make two different blocks: for one block, I would use the orange print as the corner blocks and a calmer print for the other four cross blocks, then a solid for the center. Same idea for the black/white print: use it in the corner blocks and another print for the cross blocks, then a solid for the center block. Perhaps the cross blocks could be the same in both blocks. That "witch's face green" may be good for the cross blocks.

Here is a nice pattern you could use: http://www.hoffmanfabrics.com/conten...sp?ImageID=739

It works great with a print you don't want to cut too small.

HI I have a book called "Just Can't Cut It" with patterns for fabric you want to keep larger. You can still buy the book or you might find some free patterns online.

Oh, I would add some solids or solid looking prints such as black, chartreuse, yellow. It would make a great wall hanging. Maybe a square within a square or fussy cut the witches then frame with the chartreuse in blocks. Use the "batty" fabric for the outer border. Good luck.

I would make it the center of a solid color star or block and turn it into an Halloween quilt

I would do a Crazy with cotton. You would cut a circle, square of hexagon of the picture, (fuzzy cut ) place in middle of a muslin block , then start adding from left to right with materials that would match/ contrast. Sort of like crazy quilting but no embellishments. I have done several of those quilts. You could also make tote bags for trick or treat night. Some placemats and or tablerunners .
