I'd use the one on the left for backing, and use the one on the right as a feature fabric and throw in a whole bunch more blacks, whites, and maybe greys.

Not ugly to me and I am sure not ugly to many others . Thank goodness we are allowed to have different likes and dislikes !

haha, I hope I can show y'all somewhat of a silk purse made from those sow's ears.
no guarantees though. at least it's just gonna be a halloween quilt

I made a halloween type quilt with a pattern in a magazine. I will post it in a bit. I used lots of halloween fabric but also included some fall colored plaids, loved it so much I paid to have it quilted. You'll love it too.
