I know the feeling, I am quilting a signature quilt for a school coworker. I did not do the quilt nor was I consulted as I was getting ready for my daughter's wedding. The quilt is really cute and original, but the fabric is canvas and machine applique which makes it double stiff and the backing is polyester. I end up closing my eyes and doing as little machine quilting as I could. I really wanted to redo the whole project as I know it could have been a delightful quilt with the right fabric but...

Here's the solution...put the quilt in your car trunk and leave overnite. The Quilt Fairies will work their magic and you might be surprised! Fresh eyes can make a difference. LOL

I've done a couple I hated when finished. Actually, before they were finished. I finished them anyway, and donated them. They were usable and one man's trash....

If it really is a doll quilt, the doll will think it is the most beautiful quilt it has ever seen and the child who puts in on the doll will think the same thing! Don't throw it away. Take it to your church nursery for the children to play with. The dolls there will love a homemade quilt. froggyintexas
