my ex did not use my scissors. i kept them locked up, but...... he did use my scrapbook paper trimmer. (an expensive one) to cut the vinyl floor tiles. he was so proud of himself. the bathroom does look good, but i enjoy it all by myself now. lol

Well my husband came inside one day from working on the house, and said..........man I found the best scissors to cut my insulation, fantastic. I listened, then "light bulb" came on........after I realized what happened, I said Well they are your scissors now. When I explained what he actually did, I think just between you and me, he did not believe me. So next time we were in a fabric shop, he told the checkout lady what he had done, she said "Oh no you ruined her scissors," he then quietly stepped out of line and bought me a new pair.

My Husband used to take mine, so I just gave them to him and go another pair. Now I know why my Mom used to hide her's when I was a kid!

He must be related to my first ex . Good riddance!

I live alone and my faithful companion (Dandy) doesn't touch them.

My 89 year old mother used mine to cut her half inch thick toenails. After that I hid my new pair of good scissors as well as any other scissors so that she could not find them.

When we were first married DH picked up my GOOD scissors and trimmed linoleum with them. Maybe that's why he was an ex DH before passing on?

This one is my solution. It also helps with "sticky fingers" when I go to quilt classes etc. I have had more pairs of scissors stolen from me, rather than misused.

This is a hilarious thread. Thanks for all the giggles.

Right before his first coma, my DH was caught using my Gingher shears to cut vinyl bathroom tiles. His second coma occured about 6 months later after I discovered him cutting his nose hairs with my 5" Kai scissors. He's been coma-free for many years now. :) Mary

$25....I have them upwards of $300!
What kind of scissors are $300?
Scissors can be very expensive in this neck of the woods too. The most expensive pair that I have were $200 - for a pair of Ginghers that I have on a chain around my neck since I "lost" a few $80 ones at sewing classes.
