Wow, how lucky for you! Around here, most quilt shops are closed on Monday. And that is the day I do my running around with dr appts etc. Another one is closed Mon & Tues. I rarely go out later in the week so I never get to those shops.

It's so nice to hear a good LQS story! Next time I'm up that way, I'll stop in. I'm going to go mark it in my atlas!
Oh, PHOOEY!! I just checked the map, and I drove right past it in June! I was right there!! Guess it's a good excuse to go back. DH and I really liked the area.

I wish one of our LQS had such good customer service....they have an employee inparticular that I will avoid if shes working. She made an a rude comment the last time she waited on me that I was really upset over. I had gone in looking for something and a friend stopped in also (unplanned) I ended up helping my friend get a huge assortment of batiks and after helping her she helped me with my selections. At the cutting counter she said to me "Its about time" ...we spent a good deal of $ that 2 hours we were there ...I was going to complain but havent had the chance to see the owner alone.
I am glad to hear that there are still some customer oriented shop owners. I am sure her hour of time was well worth the ching ching her register made at ck out !

So, what is the name of the great-customer-service quilt shop that finally got your business......
Praise is good; personal recommendations are good .... but it does the shop owner no good if no one identifies the shop by name, city and state, etc. ....
Congrats on your good fortune ..... can't wait to see the what you do with the fabrics now ...
P.S. if this is a cross-posting, please disregard...I'll look thru subsequent posts.

Class act in my opinion. I am in Fla during the winter months. Will definitely take a car load of gals over there. The term "what goes around, comes around"...is pertinent here...Hope she reads this forum....

Customer service at it's best. The LQS near me is like that and all the employees are wonderful. You never feel rushed and have all the help you need. They also have a frequent buyers club. Boy was I surprised when I reached the amount you have to spend to get free fabric. It was like Christmas!! Love going there.
