I am so grateful to all of the military and their families. So much is given up to fight for our freedom.

Thank you!

We have a winner!

Congrats Sewbizgirl!!!!!!!!!!

Your prize will be in your mailbox soon. I have to say that my sewing machine is in the shop so hopefully I can borrow Amelia's sewing machine (the girl I nanny). I don't get mine back until June 2nd! (and yes going through withdrawals)

Next contest will be in a few weeks for Kele's June 8th birthday. so stay tuned!

Barb

Thanks for playing the game. I love to listen to audio books (and read) and I needed some new authors.

Sewbizgirl...did you read CS Lewis as an adult or child???? I can only think of the wardrobe series??? I know that is for kids but do think adults would like it too.???

As an adult... I think I appreciate what a wonderful wordsmith he was more because I read his books as an adult. Seems like "children's" literature of yesteryear is so much better than the silly stuff of today. Written on a higher literary level, too. Children were quite advanced over what we see today. Too much TV, computers and other brain rot for the kids of today.

Thanks for my win!! You can take your time Barb, on that prize. Wait til you get your sewing machine back if you are more comfortable with it. I have a guess as to what your prizes are this year, and am curious to see if I'm right!

Checking in. We have been rained on for two weeks, ugh. Even my ivy is wilting! No civil defense sirens today, yeah!

Stay safe, djmat! Hope the rain quits soon. We have rain forecasted for the whole week here... my son is getting married on Saturday so I hope the weather is pretty for at least that one day. We are so excited about the wedding, but even more so that he is marrying a wonderful girl!

Stopping by to say that the first three birthday girls envelopes are in the mail. Holding the other two for a few weeks.

I mailed all my late May's. I'm annoyed they were late and I appologize. June cards were mailed as well. And I'm all ready for July and August!!! September's another big month so I'll start preparing for it too I think.
