Hi GramE - I have been working on weddings also! Decided to make the placemats using a scrappy around the world with beiges. Figure they go with most everything - and I do have just a few beautiful tans and browns and beige squares!
Hope all is well - how are those grandsons of yours? Safe somewhere I hope.

Thank you all for all the beautiful candies I received. They are all sorted by color and awaiting a project! I have a couple of wedding gifts I’d like to make, I’m trying to figure out a nice placemat pattern that could be used year round. But I don’t know their color palate yet.

one is in New Mexico at Alamogordo AFB, one at Wright-Patterson, and one at Charleston, SC Naval Station. I miss them all. US Military is borrowing them for a time. My Coast Guard guy is back home. All in the states yes.

Hello everyone hope everyone is keeping away from the sickness that is going around. I have been coughing for 3 weeks now!

Well I have been very busy, my mom is selling her condo so I am helping her sell all of her belongs that are still left behind when she moved to the senior living place. Everything that is not selling we have been taking car loads to the Salvation Army and the resale store that I use to work at.

Also I finally have a job!!!! It is only temporary until April 16th. I am working in the front office at a CPA/tax office. I really like it and I feel I am learning a lot! I know I will be back out looking for a job again in April but this will also look good on my resume.

I am looking forward to the new swap and feel so lucky to have help from Janice and DJ.

Stay warm...
Barb

Just to let you ladies know, I couldn't wait until after my birthday to play with my candies. I went ahead a started sewing them together into a postage quilt on the diagonal. So far it is 77" square. I'm waiting on the rest of the birthday candies to make it bigger. I'm hoping for 90" square quilt. The rest of the candies will go on the back.

Congratulations on the new job and the fact that you are enjoying it! I'm decluttering my house - slowly, very slowly - and know what a big job it is to clean everything out. Good luck with helping your mother. Hope your cough goes away soon. We had a day of snow. It was beautiful and then it was gone. Best kind of snow. Looks like we'll be having more heavy rain for the next few days again. I'm ready for some sun. Have a good week! .

QBJ, you are a wonder to have done so much with your squares already! Good for you. I'm holding onto mine to open until a few days after my birthday as I'll be out of town for the big day.
