Both the little red birds and the beautiful kitty are too cute!

I spent a lot of time yesterday sorting fabric, what comes out of stash must eventually be put back in. I'm also looking for the piece I have remaining of the background to my center. I know I put half in the box and sent it on the road, but I kept a piece too.

I'm running out of places to look. I've found the pieced blocks, I've found other things from that time period. Giving myself one more day to look/continue to organize and then I'm going to assume I mailed it out with a box I sent at the same time, or I put it "somewhere safe" and it will continue to be absent for another 8 years when it will suddenly fall on my head...

Always fun to play with the fabrics, have decided that I have enough for a "collection" of the spongy textured type of fabrics to keep them together instead of separated by color. Not sure what to do with the fabric yet, just that it should stay together for now.

Mary, I'm hoping to mail out tomorrow, will let you know either way. Next week has Labor Day (Monday holiday) so will probably get there about Wednesday, but I'll have the hubby read me the tracking numbers.

I will have a picture soon. I've been working on Mary's every day since I got it, and only today landed on what I need to do. It may take me a few days to finish, but I'll show it when it's done.

Ok, here we go. I basically wimped out on the planned .5" finished float and cut the pieces at 2" to either help/give Mary more work or at least more quilt to deal with. As designed the current finish measurement is a rather odd 53". With the extra space, it can be trimmed down to a 1/4" float or trimmed anywhere up to 55" (finished) square.

Shot one is with the borders on, ready for the box. Shot two is a little better at showing it but doesn't have the final float on.

I'll be leaving for the post office in the next hour. I'll only have two of the hoped for four packages going today, so another trip is in my near future. With the holiday weekend, I wouldn't expect the box to arrive before Wednesday.

Default those pretty greens

Wow IceBlossom, those photos really show the greens picking up the greens in the fans and the shape of the leaves mimics the pointy nature of the dresden fan tips. Looks great, cools down the center and will give Mary lots of options for her border. Kudos!!

Group #2 - It is September and we all have been working on everyone's round #3. We are ahead so no rush. I just wanted to make sure everyone except JABA had a round. I have both Bugaroo#3 and Carrie#4 (which I will hold on to for a month!) I show Mona has Macybabys; Carrie and Jaba; Bug just finished TG; and Macybaby has Mona.
If this isn't correct let me know.
Carrie - how are you doing and what has doctor said?
Jaba - are you getting down stairs and sewing at all? Are you watching the squirrel on the tree and wondering what in the world am I going to do with that??
