Nancia my dear pal buddy .. brain what brain? I think those are bothersome items, they sure weigh a wholelot and well if we dont have one or use it do we lose weight at the same time? mine should be fairly ratteling by now hello is anyone home?? nooo nothing in here but us marbles. just a few ..

I didnt sew. I was simply too tired. I am going to sew tomorrow though. I had good plans today. took a short nap purposely woke up early so I could sew before dinner. Instead I ws so tired I just loafed. after dinner took another 3 hour nap. woke up at midnite. thought ok I can sew BUT its so cold instead I sit onthe couch now and have three blankets and a cat to keep me warm. no needle talk see I can keep it .. less pokey in here.

Well the Brat Pack is doing a side swap and its going to be fun. we will post our pics here for you 'all to enjoy as they are finished. I am thinking.. Jaba will be finished first. shock I know. then its a toss up. we are going patriotic so it should provide a nice variety to think about for your future projects.

sparkly butterflys spring colors? sounds lovely to me. bet its mine Nancia but in an extreme effort to be a good pal which I am.. you can come over and enjoy it with me over a cup of coffee or tea! see, what a good pal I can be?

i have a featyher brain which is useful while quilting and does not add extra pounds! all good! thank you, brat for offering to take all my fabric. i have something else planned for you! you shall not get off so easy!!
i am making a mini-quilt with 2"blocks and lots of hst's (1it's exhausting. who knew tiny little people who do tiny little things have such big problems?!) and i have come to realise i am " not quite there yet'. i am so late be cause of all the sewing, unsewing, resewing, unsewing , heavy cursing and inventing new invectives and sewing again...

Oh I love looking at all those tiny pieced projects yet the thought of working with so many pieces gives me the heebies. I will use the 1.5" when doing a block requiring some but would rather never use less than 2.5 " at any given time. its just too small for my small hands to work with and not bumble. taking out seams IS NOT a happy thing for me. get tired of working on something I am riping out more than I am putting in real quick.

does anyone know what today is? Its the EVE before we get our names! light the fire, hang the stockings, its Tablerunner EVE! yipeee. I am so excited I just cant hide it.. I'm about to lose control and I think I like it... (sing with me ladies).. oh boy those happy feet are wiggling I can hear it from here.. your hips are moving your head is nodding side to side the stampede is about to begin. this could be like a mervyns commercial remember those old "open" "open" commercials that drove you nuts? well this is it.

Nancia that coffee is getting cold .. I poured you a cup its resting over here on my new household swap runner come on over! isnt it pretty? lol

Elisabrat only you could think up an unofficial holiday; or is that official QB holiday? HMMMM

I to am looking forward to getting my partner's name; I have three kits sitting in my sewing room and one of them will be made this go round and out the door; I'm going to make use of what I have.

Small squares in projects - right now I'm working on DQ for another swap and it requires you to cut 3.5" square into diagonal quarters and resew back into squares. That's my weekend project - hope to get it done and ready for shipping come Monday; another case of making do with what I have on hand and this little striped doll quilt was perfect for this months theme.

Local quilt shoppe is sponsoring another quilters retreat weekend - sounds like 100 plus people get together to sew nonstop on individual projects for three days straight - some also stay for the caboose retreat - that's an additional three days. Personally if I sat in one spot and sewed that long I would more than likely need some sort of medical specialist to help with the arsitis that would set in "Help me....I've sat too long and can't get up"

Waiting to see lovely toppers/runners the side swap team brings to the table.

You all have a good one.

Thank you the brat pack will deliver. Jaba and I have already mailed our fabrics, I believe Maryt and Vanogay are right behind. Poor Vanogay has knee surgery oh no not fun at all. everyone hope for her that she bounces back quickly.

I think I am going to make one from my new quilting book on runners. I am currently working on one for another member and its coming out so pretty. I think I would make this one again and again. That says something. I RARELY splurge on a quilt book since well there are 100's of free patterns all over the internet but I think I could make most of these. So..lucky you! guinnea piglets for the first editions. Maybe I will even get GOOD at them! Now that I would love.

Last: I wonder what the fabric design would be for.. name anticipation? Question marks! anxious ants? oh oh oh quilters all standing on a racing line, scissors in one hand, fabric in another, pattern inbetween teeth.. now that could be cute. or bee's taping their toes waiting to be busy... um the design ideas are endless! quick get designing you could get rich with this..

ANASTASIA dear darling did you make it? survive the week? the tests? are you breathing still? say you are.. should we call 911, ask for only good looking firemen to come revive you? oh oh here it goes go put on your ugliest unmatched pajamas least flattering thing you can find, spill icecream or some crud on the chest part and certainly do not wash your hair or brush that garlic bread breath out of your mouth. THEN we call them. Guaranteed best looking will show up for sure. just asking thats all. in case your home. just hanging out. sitting there. not much to do.. waiting to pass out names or something...I will be up. awake working on my new holiday fabric.. might not need it however.. if only.. I have been a good girl holiday eve fairy.. honest.. its past midnight somewhere!

Hmm.. patriotic side swap when the next runner swap is probably going to be patriotic themed.. ok. I guess.

So.. I got a new position at my workplace today, completely by surprise. Thought I was getting fired. They came and pulled me from my seat, stuffed me into a cube and surrounded me and said... "sooooo... there's something we need to talk about"... They giggled at the face I made.. said.. no it's good. The good news is, consistent 40 hours a week, much more exercise, much more goofing off, much more variety throughout the day. Even likely overtime sometimes. fun fun. Bad news, isn't yet a permanent position, and isn't any more money. So last week I was made a Subject Matter Expert.. so I helped people with questions on how to do their work.. and now I don't do that work at all anymore, instead I GIVE them the work. hmm.. ok.

So.. I'm home early.. I'm unwinding.. I might start working on pairing names.

Well now you know why you were made the subject matter expert! Congratulations on the promotion!

I found some American flag fabric when I was going through some old craft supplies. I also have solid blue that matches it. Hmm, I'm thinking this time I might get my friend to do a little embroidery on it. Maybe not. Depends on the size & shape I guess. Thing is though, even with my fabric moratorium, I'm going to end up going to buy fabric for this swap unless I get someone who likes whimsy, lol! My 50% off coupon expires tomorrow, so get crackin girl! OK, I've had my sleepytime tea & I'm off to bed.

ah stitching post they will come they will come. then she will shoe us all away like pesky little .. ants. to get busy she will say as she sits on her new post and commands the others.

congrats on the cube I know that is cool because.. you wont lose your lunches there! you can keep them ON YOUR DESK and your purse wont touch anyone elses feet. double yeah! sound more excited punkin' come on. a raise is lovely but dont shoot the new spot down. It sounds much nicer for you. wonder if this means you still eat with the pit crews or if they will ban you to your own nice quiet spot where you can chill out a bit all ALONE (boy would you hate that huh?) for half an hour... keep dreaming it might come true!

whimsy what qualifies as whimsy to you dustysmom? I can tell you if I like it if you describe what you think it is fabric wise? I might be your partner so we had better clarify this .. chances go up with each passing minute and I do know I am someones partner. so that helps too

ok, i love whimsy! things like little mice with flowers tucked behind one ear. or a guinea pig getting a make-over, or mama rabbit hanging up the laundry. or a fantasia pattern on the cloth, kaffe fassett or amy butler or valori wells. sigh-- and all done in beautiful intense colors! and i'm waiting, too! patiently...........sort of..........................or not....................
