My first Boom block. It's not a Kass block but it was fun to make and 12 1/2 inch square with no problem. JABA that fabric is so beautiful, it was hard to cut into it.

That is beautiful, Kass! I love that center and you used the stripes so well. It looks like just tons of work. Thank you!

MJP, lovely block for Jaba, I'm mulling over that fabric and a few others that are so beautiful by themselves, it's like what can I do to make them prettier???? Great fussy cutting.

Sewbiz glad you liked it.

Kassaundra, it's lovely. Love it!

Definitely glad I did this one, but would NEVER do a quilt of them!!!! lol lol I had intended to make the (yellow) diamonds two tone green like leaves, but none of my greens played well together and w/ your fabrics, the one that did tried to take over the whole block so pale yellow it was. I had to include a close up of that center I was especially proud of it that doesn't happen often for me for an 8 point center. And the other pic was the practice block I still need to finish, but shows the two tone idea I had.
MJP, first block done so now it's time to just play with the fabrics and enjoy them. I love how you kept a large piece of Jaba's fabric intact; sometimes it's difficult to cut large scale prints up. Congrats!

I've opened the April Gallery.

I'll try to keep up with the gallery but if you realize I've missed your block, let me know what POST # your pic is in and give me a few days to correct it. Right now I'm able to keep up by posting once a day but as it gets busier in both groups, it may take longer for me to move them in. Also, in going through the pix I already posted, I spotted some errors in who made what. I think I've fixed them all but please, let me know if you see anything wrong such as crediting a block to the wrong maker, or putting a block in the wrong place. It's very easy for me to do and I do not always pick up my own mistakes. Don't hesitate to let me know if I've goofed. Thanks!

Hi! I have tried not to drool over all the pretty fabrics in my squishy. Yesterday was my birthday( every day above ground is a good day), so I got to go " recreational" shopping for the fabrics to go with the fat 8ths. Now,on to the sewing room! We had terrible weather going to the road to cal.quilt show...but it was worth it. I found some rulers to use quilting borders. Yeah! Cheers!
