I'm enjoying all the bios. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all meet up in person one-day?

    Mjp, your grandbabies are precious!!!

NZQ, it would be wonderful to gather a group of Boomers together. Wouldn’t we all have great stories to tell and quilts to share? I’m actually hoping to meet up with Libster one day since we’re now in the same state. Anytime someone gets to the Western North Carolina or North Georgia area, let me know. I’d love to meet.

FYI, I opened up a couple of very old Booms in the Gallery if anyone really wants a blast from the past. You can see Booms 14 and 15.

Thanks for giving us access to the old Boom photos Janice. It was fun to see who was a former Boom player. It was kind of sad too, to see the work of friends who have passed away... JoanElizBay, Jaba, and SeeSaw Sue. We have lost too many special ladies. It was also fun picking out the amazing Kass blocks from each collection. I wish she would come back to us.

I've been looking over block patterns every day. Can't wait to get started!

Yes, what she said. God speed, Old Friends, God speed. I hope Kass is happy in whatever she's doing today. I, for one, sure do miss her and her wonderful blocks along with the pics and stories of her "naked chickens". We miss you, Kass!

I miss all three of them, especially when I look through the old photos. Happily the photos bring back happy memories, too. All three were enthusiastic boomers! 😀

SBG, I emailed Kassaundra, gosh, must be more than a year ago now and she was swamped with her work as an EMT. I hope one day she’ll rejoin us. She certainly made me think “out of the box” when it came to piecing. Any time I hear that expression I see her exciting blocks in my mind’s eye. I miss her, too.

There is so many beautiful blocks and talent in the past booms. Thanks for sharing them with us, Janice.

I remember lurking on the Booms when Seesaw Sue and Joan passed, but I didn't know Jaba had passed away too. RIP

NZQ, I'll open up other Booms at a later date. Having too many open seems to slow down loading of the current Boom pix.

Yes, Jaba died about a year and a half ago. Your Signature is perfectly apropos and I reflect on it every time I see it. "We didn't realize we were making memories..." Makes me smile!
