DiFergie -

Choosing a UFO project for the UFO Challenge with a self-imposed deadline - for you is like me saying, "I can't eat another Krispie Kreme donut until they get hot ones out of the cooker! You have a finished project coming off the table daily. You could just pick any one and a couple days later.......you could say..."I'm already finished!".....

Sounds like a good challenge. Since the teal blocks are for my DIL - Mother's Day will get me to get it done!!

Question - has anyone purchased FQ and cut them in half to swap with? Is the size pretty uniform?

I bought FQ bundles a couple of times and used them for Boom swaps. One was from Connecting Threads, and one was from Moda. They were both pretty uniform in size, however, most (if not all) of the pieces had a selvage edge that had to be trimmed off, which made my F8s slightly undersized. Also, I had to hand-wash each FQ then iron them dry, because machine washing/drying would've frayed the edges too much. It worked out fine in the end, though.

If the FQs came from multiple sources, the sizes would most likely vary more than they would if they came in a bundle from one manufacturer.

Thanks moonrise. Connecting Threads is having a 25% off of their Quilters Candy. Thinking of getting various colors of the lotta dots line and send them out. Hmmmm

Nice try Bee,

The way I look at the challenge is that our UFO pile will not get any bigger. We take a UFO and finish, then add the new Boom to our UFO.

So far we have . . .

Bee
KAT
Travellinggramma

right?

Come on girls, you have to have a top or blocks laying around that wouldn't take much to finish . . .
