Francie that block looks lovely to me. Janice I don't see my fabric and since I have no idea about the post number I'll just repost it now.

" scrutiny: here is a sample block...it's about as good as it gets with regard to my piecing skills. If it doesn't seem suitable...let me know .I can do a pretty decent job of appliqué...either needle turn or fusible"

Francie, that block looks pretty darn good to me. I love pieced AND applique blocks, both ways. I usually do fused applique with the center cut out. It's what I enjoy doing.

That's AOK! I can grab a snap when it arrives. . Besides, at least you already HAVE your fabric. I'm still trying to figure mine out.

Francie, very nice block, more complicated than anything I attempted in my first boom.

"Fun" with stripes, and by fun I mean like a terrifying roller coaster ride that results in screams of horror and vomiting, ending in such relief when your feet end up safely on terra firma that you believe you just had fun.

The block really is square it is pinned over a curved chair back distorting it. This isn't for the boom, just something I found while looking at blocks for the boom.
