Janice & Ibex,
Thank you. I'm pretty drawn to anything kaleidoscope.
here is the link to making a 4 patch kaleidoscope square. http://www.connectingthreads.com/tut...lock__D20.html. the only issue that may present itself is does the fat eighth have enough repeat pattern to get 4 similar squares. I got 3 exact repeats & one pretty close in each square. I was only about an inch from having 4 repeats which is what I needed.

the problem it only comes out at 5 1/4". I put the blue in the middle and it was ok, but being the ADD person I am I like to keep trying. I remembered how I put a little star on a block from a Jinnie Beyer pattern & got those templates out and jiggered this one, after remove 8 seams, into having a star! I'm liking my little "template" folder more & more.

I completely understand I do that all the time.

I just gather up what I see and make it through my own eyes. Oh, yeah, and what the fabric says!

Here's another for block. I was skeptical about this f8 but once again, you all have superior vision. Hope you like it Bibliostone And this is one where I used the reverse of a fabric to get the nearly solid lighter purple.

absolutely gorgeous Janice, love the way you arranged the pink to accentuate the star.

Oddly enough, that was a bit tough, fussy cutting was involved. I didn't want those purple "ribbons" to distract from the star, exactly as you pointed out. Thanks.
