Well ladies I have finally procrastinated my way into finishing all of the Topaz blocks . I really have no more excuses and have to get to work on my bigger projects that I have been putting off. so NanaKathy my last block is for you.

and here is a bonus shot of my design wall before I bag them all up for mailing and make room for my next projects. I love how even with all those different fabrics it works pretty well and it makes me happy to look at it. I have already shipped Opal and I'll hold onto theses till later you know just in case the overwhelming urge to procrastinate further comes over me and I make more bonus blocks.

Beautiful last block, Billi... it looks like 4 blocks! It's also great to see all your creations up on the design wall before you mail them in. They could certainly make their own great sampler.

Good evening, boomers. Beautiful blocks! I'll try to capture the images and add them to the gallery tomorrow.

Been so busy with our cousins. Just came back from a day in Atlanta. Went to the World of Coke, the MLK Jr. historical site and had a lunch at Gladys Knight's. The food was delicious but the place needed a thorough cleaning. Excellent day!

Janice sounds like a fun day. In Mephis we went to a Civil Rights Musueum right down the road from the motel where MLK Jr. was killed. It was fascinating.

Interesting, the one in the farmers wife quilt is similar, but is not the same as the one on coleensspace. Maybe she was trying to recreate the one on the farmers wife. Thanks for the info, I'll change what I call it.

A barn quilt of this block http://www.greencountybarnquilts.com...=locations.mdl

they called it peaceful hours so I did some googling and found this

and that apparently it's a block in the farmers wife quilt too

I love your version a lot better than Coleens or Camilleros. (if thats their names) Yours just seems to pull the colors together better than either of the other 2. Can you tell me the size of your 4 outter blocks? I see where the one pattern called for 5 1/2" middle square but with them have a half square triangle on the outter blocks its hard to figure out the solid corner piece sizes..IM NOT good with reducing, enlarging etc unless I have exact sizes! LOL...Love yours a lot better Bibilstone!

TravelingGramma that looks like a fun baby project! I haven't done the chenille strips before, but I like it a lot. Thanks for sharing.

Billi - Peaceful hours - the one pattern made me think it came about when someone made a block too large and had to cut it back! Thank you for the pattern. the farmers peaceful isn't quite the same but close. will look for pattern for it.

Muse - I haven't tried chenille strips but when I saw this I thought of your
ballet quilt cause it was same colors

I think I may try this on next baby quilt - anyone else done it?
