Marlenab, when I saw this fabric, I fell in love with it! So pretty! You'll have wonderful blocks made from it.

I am asking everyone to use any colors except white. My thinking on this is .... I'll use white or wow to set the blocks together. Haven't decided who this quilt may go to. The fabric is so colorful that it may end up going to one of my younger nieces.
My fabric is going out to Janice today. I intended to mail it sooner but life got in the way. Hope everyone enjoys working with it. Lots of colors.

The white flowers are datura, they bloom at night only and are poisonous. The burgandy leaf is also poisonous it is caster bean leaf.

Beautiful photos, Kass. We call the first one Moon Vines here. We always planted caster beans in our gardens to keep the moles away.

Yes some areas call them moon flowers, some refer to them as devils trumpet (or angels trumpet) they do look similar to them, but the devils trumpet point down and datura point up.

What beautiful photography, Kass. The datura are spectacular. Perfection in a flower. But they look scary... There were tons of poisonous plants in Hawaii, too... oleander, the castor bean like yours, huge hedges of pointsettia, the beautiful crown flower, and the common plumeria that everyone had in their yards. We would make leis out of plumeria and the flowers gave off a milky discharge that was poisonous. You don't want to get fingers in your mouth after handling them... YUCK. Also angel's trumpet.

Thank you for the beautiful pictures.

I'm excited for you! I think those of us in both groups have a bit longer to wait? Is that right Janice? I'm still trying to finish stuff up and get it "off the table" before those fabrics arrive, as I won't want to work on anything else when they do!

I am trying to make blocks for a Pony Club quilt... guess that will get a rest when the boom fabrics come in.

Woo, hoo Boomers! All those whose packages did not ship today will go out tomorrow. You will get your tracking numbers directly from USPS.com sometime tomorrow morning. The packages are all sealed now but some must be taped as they are filled to the top.

Let the fun begin!
