Terri, it is so good to know that you're feeling more like yourself again. You and Hubby have fun with the boat this afternoon.

Sewbiz, I know you're going to be loving on your babies this weekend too. Don't get no better than that! Enjoy!

Sewbiz enjoy your grand baby time, it goes by so quickly.

Swimmers itch is a parasite that bites you and digs into your skin, leaving big red bumps. They range in size from bad mosquito bites to quarter size and like chiggers the bite itches like crazy. Neighbor squeezed out the little worm that was in one of his bites and came running over to show me. Told him unless he wanted me to barf all over him I would suggest he never do that again.

I was naughty today, went to the quilt shop in town and had fun.

Drove home to make a couple of blocks and pick up some meds I ran out of. Hubby was going to bring them with when he brought boat up. He did buy our new toy but they want to give it a good cleaning and put a new battery in it, when they took it off of showroom floor it rained that night and tons of cottonwood fluff and leaves were in it. The drive is a little over an hour each way, Friday will be the fourth trip down there and back. He has much more patience then me. I would have said fine but you need to deliver it then.

The parasites do sound like the chiggers we have here... but the worm? Ugh. No worms! I'd just stay out of the water....

I remember pulling leeches off our butts after swimming in waterfall streams on Maui as a youngster. If you sat on the big rocks the water tumbled over, the leeches would get on you.

Kass I can watch the monster inside me but do need to turn away now and then. Just can’t see it in person.

Terriamn, I'm so glad you are feeling as well as you are, well enough to want time to yourself at the cabin. Woo hoo! We've got chiggers, big time, at the cabin. The dogs pick them up and pass them off to DH and me, as if we won't pick up enough all on our own. I end up taking a couple of showers a day, scrubbing my skin, to make sure I get any off that have found me.. My skin does dry out that way but anything is better than 10 days of chigger h*** after a couple of bites. As for the parasite...I knew there was a reason I don't like swimming in warm lake water. I think it's less of a problem in cold water, isn't it? Enjoy your new boat! As for those tv shows meant to disgust the average person...absolutely not!!!! Ewwww.

Wanted to share that I got to hear the grand's heartbeat. DH recorded it for us and texted it right away from the doc's office. I started crying, but in a good way for a change. Wow. The baby is real! <3

OK The HVAC crew is here. One of the two systems in the house is blowing warm. I had to wait 24 hours but since the new windows went it, it's stayed remarkably cool in the house. Let's hope this won't be a big problem and cost.

Have a good rest of your day.

Janice, with this heat wave on the way, now is not the time for it to be blowing warm. Hope they get it fixed quick!

Thanks, Libster! Happily, it was easily fixed. The water pump failed. (Basement unit needs it to pump the condensation out.) Simple replacement and about the least expensive thing to fix. Woo, hoo!

Janice glad it was an easy fix on the HVAC

How exciting to hear the heartbeat of your grand to be. Love Happy tears

Janice I think the parasites are from the geese. So not sure if cold water makes a difference or not
