I made my last block and it’s for me.

Janice yes I love the idea of a new family member

Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers for Tyler. I love that young man and very proud of him for admitting he desperately needs help. Unfortunately alcoholism runs deep on both sides of his extended family.

Terri and Janice, Prayers and hugs! I am so proud of Tyler for recognizing the problem and checking himself in for help. That is the first step.

Traveling Gramma -- the mummy is great! Thank you!

I peeked in the gallery that Janice has been working on through the storm. So many amazing blocks and all the halloween blocks together are knocking my socks off!

Hav4boys -- gorgeous star!

Two for Rebaquilts. I added the D for Dylan. If that isn't ok Jack can pick it out!

Went to a local craft fair today and so many great items. I did pick up a few things for Christmas. I am way past the stage of saying "I could make that" - its just easier to buy it!!

Hope your hubby is feeling better today, Janice.

TG, love your blocks! The mummy face is so cute.

Went to my local quilt meeting this morning, with the quilt below to donate. We also brought fabric to cut, using our hostess' GO Studio cutter. She has a "Take 5" die that I love to use when I can. Afterwards, I went to lunch with a friend I don't see that often. It was a great day!

Sewbiz your quilt is gorgeous and glad you had a great day

TG lovely blocks for Reba.

This afternoon I cleaned my sewing room from top to bottom, swept and vacuumed it and 5 minutes later there were threads on the floor. They just appear from no where.

We went to a friend’s open house, this is the third time they have moved in less than 3 years and all in different towns and cities. I would be so confused. Then 12 of us went out for dinner, It was a very pleasant evening but hard saying our goodbyes.

Hello everyone. It's good to see what wonderful blocks have been posted. All the stories you have written... Wow! Such resilience! It's always great when a neighborhood or community comes together to help each other.

Ibex - Thank you so much for your words of wisdom and calm. People need to rely on one another. Rumors and disinformation do no one any good. Yes, policies may need to change. IMHO, politicians are forgetting their responsibilities to the people they represent. As you pointed out, Congress holds the purse strings. Congress writes and/or directs the policies. We as citizens need to hold our representatives accountable. Please, this election and every election, PLEASE VOTE!

Now - off my soapbox.

TravelingGrandma - I hope you like this block for your quilt. Thank you so much for my birdhouse. It's lovely.
Reba - Here's a couple of Bazinga blocks for you.
Terri and Janice - prayers and hugs all around.
WMUTeach - you are a good friend to handle those final details.

I’m up the road connecting to internet. DH is just fine with zero understanding of what happened. Off to primary care this coming week.

Hope you all are well! I’ll be back next time I take a walk.

A2P, what beautiful, vibrant blocks for TG and Reba. Well done!

Janice, hope internet is coming soon for you!

Quote: I thought I posted this one for SBG but apparently I did not.

Here is one for MJP. One is the picture where I was putting on the border and realized I had stripes going two ways. A no-go for me. Jack and I had a ripping date. Needless to say, ripping out 22 stitches per inch stinks, but got the job done.
Quote: Here is my morning creation for A2P. I really like how this one came out.
Quote: Here is one for LStew2212. I love bright colors.
My block is beautiful, thank you so much

Quote: Here's one for Terriamn.
Hav, your blocks are always so pretty, and the points just blow me away when they match so perfectly. I am going to practice my paper piecing.

Quote: Under the title “when it rains, it pours”…I had to take DH to the ER several hours ago due to extreme abdominal pain. Since the guy never complains, it seemed the prudent course. The pain has almost disappeared but his BP and heart rate are off. We think they’re going to release him with an order to go to a cardiologist. He’s himself again but what happened remains a mystery. As my grandmother would say, “never a dull moment”.

Still without internet. Boo. Using the hospital’s great location to get it. Hope everyone is well.
Janice, praying for your husband.

Quote: HAV, love love my block and the colors and pattern you chose

Good grief Janice, if it’s not one thing it’s another. Hope he can get into a cardiologist immediately

Our 30 year old grandson signed himself into a alcohol treatment center for 30 days. Shocking news but hoping he hit rock bottom and will fight for his recovery. For those who believe in prayer please pray for Tyler
Praying for Tyler too. It takes a lot to admit you have a problem, he just conquered the first step.

Quote: Hav - absolutely love all your blocks but the best is LStew - I had to enlarge and ogle it!
Terri - I am praying that after the 30 days he will have a support group and new set of friends
Janice - Thankful that the hospital was open for your visit and that the specialist will find the reason. (perhaps he needs a puppy?)

I have been so enjoying on working on blocks - anything but clean and unload the motorhome. It is finally under 90 for the first day since we arrived!
Here is one for cheesehead and a mummy for IBex
Lovely blocks, TG Love the Mummy, so cute.

I have been MIA due to an emergency in my family. My youngest sister had two ulcers that ruptured thru the stomach wall and she was septic. Emergency surgery and 1 day in the ICU she is now on the mend. I had to travel down to GA to help with her 5 children. They own their own business and my brother n law had to keep the business open. My mother thought she could take care of them by herself. The ages range from 1 to 16 and my mother is 72. I came home yesterday as my sister got out of the hospital on Friday. Keep her in your prayers as we found out she also has real problems mental illness and alcohol.

I only have to work a 1/2 day today, so all the neglected chores get done today.
