Nice blocks Tuesy & KLue - boy we are being challenged arent' we. But have you ever been so excited about a project??? I haven't - this is really fun stuff. Thanks to all for making this such an enjoyable way to work with our craft!!! Life is so short - it's things like these that make it all the more fun!

i'm just so happy we've done the swap before we start the entire quilt. we've able to work out some kinks ahead of time.
i chose this 2nd block because its called snowflake and it goes with our theme but its really not going to hold up to time because there are 2 bias edges on each side of the block.
you give this block a funny look and its gonna get bent out of shape.

i use my squaring ruler when i need things to line up on the diagonal - like if its got triangles in the block.
otherwise you can use your mat. i've found the lines on my mat to be very accurate. i've actually had DH measure each section and to use a T square and all his engineering tools.
did i mention i have OCD.

Thanx Klue, I just wasn't sure if the square one was preferred, but since your DH checked over your mat I will guess that mine is good
well I guess for you OCD is a good thing because you have done everything here to perfection.

DH says its a double edge sword.
he likes that i do just about everything at the house but when he makes dinner for me he gets stressed out.
i have to have the plate a special way and none of the food can touch each other - its totally crazy but i can't help it.
so he really tries to avoid preparing any food for me.

The new blocks look great Tuesy and Klue! Klue, that block does look intimidating to me!
On another note...I got my Jane software today! I've had time to take it out of the box...thats it. I can't wait to have time to play with it!
